All Happiness is the Release of Internal Pressure

Ruff Fun Game 0001 (10 / 11)

Christianity was founded on 160AD - must check out the AP situation. Well, it seems that the one AI that I don't know founded Christianity - that is pretty good teching from an AI that could be isolated.

Now, because I want hammers, beakers and gold from all of my religious buildings, I must tech Theology double quick smart. I don't have the cash to burn in a straight run at it and saving to get the gold will take too long. I could sell tech to the AIs ...

... but the only techs I have are worth more than they want to pay. Looking at the above pic gives me an idea ... I do have the cash on hand to burn through Horseback Riding ... and a couple of turns later I am able to pick up 510g from the AIs for it (Shaka got Monotheism). That gives me the gold I need to burn through Theology.

Theology discovered in T204, AP completed in T211 ... not bad.

Using my newly discovered knowledge, I build some stables, then some sentry chariots and sent them out to update my map knowledge. One of them finds the missing AI ...

Also, what the hell is that? Someone dropped a giant hat on the map ...

Oh - and I got another Great Spy (Eystein the Wise ... btw, the top link on google isn't very helpful regarding who this guy actually is) ... Scotland Yard time ...

Edit: The following information was provided post game report by Speaker

"Eystein the Wise" refers to a BtS beta tester whose civ name was Willburn. During beta testing, several of us played a game against some of the developers, and beat up on them so badly, they decided to name Great Spies about us. You will find me in the game as "Speaker the Lionhearted" and should be able to find MookieNJ (Mark Swiss) in there as well. There may have been one or two more, I can't remember.

New Scotland Yard

And then an AI gets uppity ... and poisons my well. Luckily with BAT, it keeps track of EP levels between the players (just so you don't have to do it manually) so you can see who's EP level dropped ...

Suryavaman II you complete bastard!
-100 because you poisoned my waters.
I will not forget.

A little later a cottage was sabotaged ... but this time it was Sitting Bull
-100 because you destroyed on of my improvements.
I will not forget.

F5 tells me that Charlemagne is itching to go to war with someone ... so I throw some techs at him and Suryavaman II will hopefully get his payback. I will take care of Sitting Bull myself.

If Charlemagne is serious about war, he shouldn't have too many troubles (see pic). The only problem is that they don't really share any borders.

Notice that everyone except Frederick is WHEOOHs ...

Here is the situation between myself and Sitting Bull ... power is a bit close for comfort but I can do something about that fairly quickly
