And it started building The Great Wall. I smoked a bit here as I should have given the new city the gold site for 8 hammers per turn. It would have taken 47 turns instead of the estimated 63. I build two more archers and rushed them over to Utica. The barbarians attacked 34 times and 34 times they were beaten back. The worst odds that the three archers (in the end 4 as there was one turn were all three saw action) faced was a 22% chance of losing. One archer was City Garrison III, one was Medic I and the other was City Garrison I.

You can actually see the barbarians turning around and going home. From here it is a matter of teching to axes, cats and taking the Barb cities. I don't have to leave huge defending stacks behind as the barbs cannot counter attack. I didn't bother playing the game out as the dead line had passed but I did want to post this.
