Game Report: Adventure 13 - Sixth Column (2/6)

I decide to settle 1 tile SW of my starting position, netting the fish but missing the sheep from a 'working the tile' point of view. Obviously, I pasture those sheep when they come in range and then road them to get the +1 health benefit. My unit build starts with a worker and then two workboats (one for the fish and the other heads West. I also build a galley who goes East. My second city goes ... ohh, just look at the picture ...

My galley heading East had a fairly easy time of it, heading East and a touch North ... it kept on finding a Easterly passage. My work boat, on the other hand, had a tough time of it, heading West and a touch South. It actually got blocked by ice and had to back track a fair way before heading West and a touch North. In 800 BC ...

Part 2 (of 2) of securing my commerce was (of course) the Colossus which was completed, again in Sparta, in 1010AD

Part 3 (of 2) on the commerce front ... ok, so I cannot count ... was running only merchants in sparta, then sending those Great Merchants generated to Delhi ... the biggest, friendliest and closest city I could find.

My Great Merchant gold haul in this game was ...

You can certainly do a lot of financed research with that type of income.
